Eliminating Fear Call-in – is fear of failure keeping you from acting?
A week ago I blogged about the results of fear on our results as we job hunt. This kind of job market can create all kinds of fears (rational and irrational) that sap our strength, infect those around us, and create a self-fulfilling prophecy in our lives.
For many of my clients, facing fear and dealing with it becomes a catalyst to finding new work the fastest as they choose to do new things and stretch themselves.
Many of you responded with comments and a desire to talk more about this topic.
So this week I’ve asked my coach, Gary Barnes, to join me for a guided discussion of fear and how to overcome it. He has helped me face so many fears over the last year and I know his advice is sound.
The audio of this call is now available. On it we discuss:
- Fear – what is it and where does it come from?
- Rational vs. irrational fear – where’s the line and how do we know?
- Ways to deal with fear.
- How to believe in yourself when you don’t feel like it.
- Daily routines that help.
If you made it live for the call, thank you for giving us time from your busy day.If you didn’t, you can Download the handout and the MP3 of the call below.

A special offer -
This call really sparked interest - seems like so many people need this kind of discussion group that I’d like to see how many people are interested in a LOW COST ($20/month) program that would involve two call-in times per month and some special tools. One call in each month would be devoted to a job-hunting skill topic, and one per month on how to discover, explore and overcome the personal issues associated with being unemployed (like fear.)
I’d like to help more people with these kinds of issues, and would like to make it affordable to as many people as possible.
If you’re interested, would you please send me an email and tell me. If there’s enough interest, I’ll start to work on a schedule.
